“Eorl Crabtree Takes To The Road”

Young Huddersfield Giants fan, John Rushworth was the winner of a competition to have five trucks named after his own personal heroes back in September last year.

The Pink Link Ltd ran its competition to allow Huddersfield Giants fans to name five of the company’s ten new trucks. An email invited supporters to submit the names of their top five players of all time to be in with a chance to win a signed Huddersfield Giants shirt. Over 10,000 emails were sent out and thousands of Huddersfield Giants supporters entered the competition.

Last week, lucky winner John was presented with a signed Giants shirt at The Pink Link’s offices in Netherton by his Giants’ longest serving player, his very own Huddersfield Giants legend, Eorl Crabtree as pictured.

22 year old, John also crowned The Pink Link truck with its new name; “Eorl Crabtree”.

Richard Allen, Managing Director of The Pink Link Ltd said: “We’re delighted that a fan like John won our competition. He’s a Huddersfield born and bred Giants supporter. The competition worked in conjunction with The Pink Link Ltd’s sponsorship at The Galpharm Stadium to help encourage local pride in Huddersfield’s sporting legends.”

The new trucks will be officially named:

Eorl Crabtree
Paul Reilly
Dave Valentine
Harold Wagstaff
Stanley Gene
