The Pink Link Wins Another Award! Nationwide palletised distribution specialists, The Pink Link Ltd, are delighted to announce that Sales & Commercial Director Vicki Davenport has won Director of the Year at the MAN everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards. The awards took place on Thursday 14th May to celebrate the achievements of those women making a difference in the logistics and transport sector. Vicki fought off stiff competition from 2 other finalists to be named Director of the Year. The awards highlight the huge contribution many women make to the transport and logistics industry, an area which is traditionally dominated by men. The second annual MAN everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards was an inspirational celebration of the many talented women working within the industry. The event was attended by 300 guests including some of the country’s leading transport and logistics representatives and Ruby Wax was the compere. Vicki said: “I am delighted to have won such a prestigious award! Having worked in the transport and logistics industry for over 25 years I have seen many changes. The industry’s progress from an archaic male dominated environment to one where women now play key roles has been fundamental to the development of my career. “There are so many unknown opportunities in this sector for women… Our strengths in multi – tasking, attention to detail, organisation and effective communication are the basis for a successful career in transport and logistics and how I got where I am today. “Couple these skills with drive, determination and enthusiasm and you will achieve anything you set out to and this award is testament to that.” |
