The Charity Coffee Morning With A Pink Link Twist! The Pink Link Ltd always likes to do its bit for charity, and with Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ taking place a few weeks ago, Sales and Commercial Director, Vicki Davenport, came up with the idea to host a coffee morning with a difference. Macmillan Ladies Day, which was held at Vicki’s house on Thursday 24th September, was set to be a fun-filled classy affair. For just £10 the ladies in attendance had the chance to take a dip in the hot tub, warm up in the steam room and enjoy a light lunch with a glass of wine (or coffee if preferred!) The day included a cake stall and raffle with the proceeds going to Macmillan, a cleaning demonstration from environmental friendly cleaning products brand, Enjo, Temple Spa put on a display of their spa skin and body products and Phoenix Cards were also in attendance with a range of their gift cards. The charity aims to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, and their families, so Vicki’s Ladies Day is all for a great cause. Vicki Davenport of Pink Link commented: “This is such a great opportunity to hold an event for a charity that carries out invaluable work in supporting those affected by cancer. We wanted to do something a bit different to the average coffee morning and we all had a fantastic day with a great turn-out which should help us raise as much money as possible for Macmillan.” In total, the event raised £1,005 for Macmillan. |
