>
Over the past 9 years, The Pink Link Ltd, has raised over £92,000 for various local and national charities. In 2011, the company has given itself the target of reaching and surpassing the £100,000 mark.
The company has been very proactive in its corporate social responsibility activities, with the employees regularly organising and attending charity and community events.
The charity events that The Pink Link Ltd has planned to attend and/or organise so far this year include the Ladies Day at Huddersfield Rugby Union Club, the Huddersfield Race for Life for Cancer Research UK and a coffee morning event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Pink Link Ltd will also hold its infamous a bi-annual ‘Pink October Ball’ this year which is held during National Breast Cancer Awareness month. In 2009 an astonishing £25,000 was raised at the event so the company is hoping to equal this figure in October.
From the money raised in the past, The Pink Link Ltd has donated to a number of local charities, including Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Everyman campaign, The Laura Crane Trust, Cash for Kids and Breast Cancer Haven.
Vicki Davenport, Sales & Commercial Director of The Pink Link Ltd said: “At The Pink Link Ltd we feel that as well as supporting the bigger national charities, it’s really important to give something back to our local community in Huddersfield and the wider Yorkshire area. We have found over the years that people are very generous with their time and money and we would like to thank everyone who has helped us raise such a huge amount of money for some fantastic charities over the last 9 years. Here’s to hoping we reach our target of £100,000 this year.”
