Vicki Davenport, Sales and Commercial Director at The Pink Link Ltd, has successfully completed Huddersfield Town’s Pedal 4 Pounds 4 bike ride for the second year running on a tandem. The ride sponsored by The Pink Link Ltd raises vital funds for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign which provides money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town’s Youth Academy.

On Wednesday 1st May over 290 cyclists set off on the 230 mile four day fundraising ride taking a circular route around Yorkshire to Hull, Scarborough, Harrogate and back to Huddersfield in time for Town’s last home league fixture v Barnsley on Saturday 4th May.

The Pink Link Ltd sponsored the annual charity bike ride for the third year running. The ride concluded on Saturday 4th May with the weary cyclists receiving a standing ovation when they completed a lap of honour before the relegation decider match.

Vicki Davenport said: “We arrived at Huddersfield to a wonderful welcome. The lap of honour I am told was again a fabulous experience – in front of a 21,000 crowd, but unfortunately I was unable to complete it as I had a wedding; the icing on the cake was of course the result of the game.”

Vicki, who took part in the ride last year as well continued; “We are delighted to have sponsored and participated in the bike ride for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign. P4P4 has been brilliant and I have met some wonderful people; I am thrilled to have taken part with 290 other cyclists and am thankful that the weather was dryer and warmer compared to last years horrendous conditions.”

Commercial Director of Huddersfield Town’s Football Club Sean Jarvis commented: “The Club would like to thank the Pink Link for its continued support of ‘Pedal 4 Pounds.’ Like Huddersfield Town, the Pink Link has a strong sense of loyalty to the local community as well as charitable causes, therefore it is only natural that we should continue to team up to promote and provide funding towards one of the biggest annual charity fundraisers in the region.”
