Pedal For Pounds Is Fast Approaching!
>
With less than two weeks to go until ‘The Pink Link Ltd Pedal 4 Pounds 3’ Vicki Davenport, Sales and Commercial Director at The Pink Link Ltd is currently in the midst of a rigorous training plan to be able to complete the 260 mile bike ride on a tandem as part of the ‘Town’s Tandemettes Team.’
On Saturday 5th May, Vicki, alongside other participants will cycle over 260 miles over 4 days from Huish Park, Yeovil to The Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield, in order to raise funds for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign.
Vicki has been training extremely hard and has already covered over 1,000 miles cycling up and down the hills of Yorkshire though all types of weather conditions. Battling sleet, hail, wind and rain with the occasional bout of sunshine! At the weekend she completed her longest ride yet; an 84 mile round trip to Selby, and is still walking, despite being a bit achy!
The Town’s Tandemettes team is aiming to raise £20,000 for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign. Fundraising is already well underway but Vicki and the team still needs your support. To read more about the challenge or to sponsor the team visit: www.justgiving.com/townstandemettes
The ‘Keep It Up’ campaign is an innovative partnership between Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which raises raise money for the charity and the Club’s Youth Academy.
Vicki Davenport said: “Everyone in The Town’s Tandemettes team is training incredibly hard, and we are determined to hit our fundraising target. The ‘Keep It Up Campaign’ raises money for such worthwhile causes and we are delighted to support a local charity. We would like to thank everyone that has so far supported us and appreciate all donations.”
Why not have a laugh and watch our team video, we had a great time making it!
