The Pink Link Ltd Sales and Commercial Director has been shortlisted for two Forward Ladies ‘National Women in Business Awards’, following the highest number of entries ever received by the organisers.

The Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards recognise the achievements of professional business women in the North West of England, Wales, Ireland and Isle of Man, Yorkshire, The North East & Scotland, the Midlands and London and the South. Vicki has been shortlisted for the ‘Inspiring Leader of the Year’ and ‘International Business of the Year’ categories.

In announcing the shortlist, Griselda Togobo, MD of Forward Ladies said: “This has been a fantastic year for women; we continue to start, grow and run high profile successful companies. We have been surprised and delighted by the number and calibre and diversity of the applications we have received, and look forward to celebrating their success.”

Debra White, Regional Director of Small Businesses for HSBC and Awards judge said: “There were an impressive number of high-calibre entries this year, highlighting the quality of talented businesswomen in the UK. These entrants are the future entrepreneurs of our country, with the Forward Ladies event to showcase the best Britain has to offer.”

Other judges include Ajaz Ahmed, the founder of Freeserve, Helen Samuels from United Utilities and Saha Hadhemi, founder of Coffee Republic.

Now in its seventh year, the Awards have grown from being purely regional into one of the most prestigious events in the calendar for professional women. Vicki Davenport commented on the news of her shortlisting: “I am extremely honoured to be shortlisted for two prestigious Forward Ladies Awards. The success of The Pink Link Ltd is only possible because of its hard working team, and whilst I’ve been recognised as an individual finalist, it is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved in the company.”

As a finalist Vicki has been invited to attend the regional final at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne on 14 October. The winners from this and the other regional finals will then be invited to appear before a live judging interview panel in November, followed by the national final in Leeds on 1 December.
