The Pink Link Ltd’s Managing Director, Vicki Davenport, has won a national ‘Women in Business Award’, sponsored by HSBC and organised by Forward Ladies.
After winning the Inspiring leader award at the regional finals in October, Vicki attended the national final at the Royal Armouries which took place in Leeds on Thursday 1st December and was awarded with the National Inspiring Leader of the Year Award.
Vicki’s role at The Pink Link Ltd encompasses management, sales, marketing, administration, HR, financial and commercial focus, but it is her leadership and organisational skills, attention to detail and the aspiration to provide the best possible distribution company for both employees and customers that are the driving forces behind her success.
The Pink Link Ltd specialises in the express distribution of small consignments of palletised freight throughout the UK and Europe. From a heavy debt in 1991 the company now has a healthy profit, has implemented new procedures and moved to purpose built premises.
Now in its seventh year, the awards have grown from being purely regional into one of the most prestigious events in the national calendar for professional women. Forward Ladies, founded in 1999, supports women in their professional lives and celebrates and champions the role of women in the workplace.
