Pink October 2016!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting Pink October 2016 to raise funds for the HRI Breast Cancer Clinic Fund, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, Kirkwood Hospice, The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and The Huddersfield Town Foundation.
The amount raised was an incredible £29,140.08, which is simply amazing, bringing the total raised by The Pink Link Ltd since 2001 to £224,796.29 for various charities.
It was a fabulous day and would not have been possible without the amazing kindness, generosity and support of yourselves.
For those that were able to join us on the day, we hope you enjoyed yourselves! Please pass on our sincerest thanks to your guests for making it a day to remember.
Sarah Dransfield gave a very moving and emotional speech of her journey, when at just 16 she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right knee, which resulted in her having to have her leg amputated and needing a prosthetic leg, followed by many months of intensive treatment to save her life.
Sarah has asked us to pass on her personal thanks to all our our guests – many of whom spoke to her on the day. If you would like to get involved and help support her in her new role as ambassador for The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, please contact her on support@firstname.lastname@example.org or 07767802876. The next challenge will be a bike ride on 30th October 2016 #GettingToughOnCancer
Thanks again to everyone who has supported this year’s event!
