The Pink Link Ltd Score A Hat Trick With Pedal For Pounds

>

The Pink Link Ltd is sponsoring Huddersfield Town’s annual charity bike ride Pedal 4 Pounds for the third year running. This year’s trip will see participants taking a circular route around Yorkshire to Hull, Scarborough, Harrogate and back to Huddersfield in time for the Club’s last home league fixture v Barnsley on Saturday 4th May 2013.

The annual Pedal 4 Pounds bike ride, now in its fourth year raises vital funds for the ‘Keep It Up’ Campaign, an innovative partnership between Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which raises money for the charity and the Club’s Youth Academy.

Vicki Davenport who completed the ride last year on a tandem has signed up again for this year’s ride. “We are delighted to support the bike ride again. Last year’s 262 mile bike ride was an unbelievable challenge in some horrendous weather conditions, so I hope this year it will be dryer and warmer for all the riders and support teams who did a fantastic job raising an amazing amount of money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”

Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented: “The Club would like to thank the Pink Link for its continued support of the ‘Pedal for Pounds’ bike ride. Like Huddersfield Town, the Pink Link has a strong sense of loyalty to its local community as well as charitable causes, therefore it is only natural that we should continue to team up to promote and provide funding towards one of the biggest annual charitable fundraisers in the region.

“Over 200 people have already signed up to the tour of Yorkshire and I hope together we can smash the record of 280 participants we set last year on our way back from Yeovil.”
