The Pink Link Ltd is again delighted to announce that they are the title sponsor of this year’s Huddersfield Town’s Pedal 4 Pounds 5 bike ride.

The Netherton-based family run company, whose distinctively branded trucks are often seen on the roads has now been supporting Huddersfield Town and its initiatives for the past nine years, this year will mark the fourth season The Pink Link Ltd has sponsored the Pedal 4 Pounds event.

This year’s bike ride, the fifth in the series, will follow a route from Arsenal Football Club to the John Smith’s Stadium, named ‘The Chapman Trail’, in honour of the club’s legendary manager, Herbert Chapman.

The ride will begin on Wednesday 23rd April, with riders getting coaches from Huddersfield Town’s Canalside complex down to London. Riders will then set off around midday from the Emirates Stadium, cycling to Cambridge, Leicester and Doncaster in time for the last home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday 26th April.

The annual Pedal 4 Pounds bike ride raises vital funds for the ‘Keep It Up’ Campaign, an innovative partnership between Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which raises money for the charity as well as the club’s Youth Academy.

Vicki Davenport, Sales and Commercial Director of The Pink Link Ltd, has signed up for the bike ride and will complete the race on a tandem, following last year’s race and suffering from a fractured pelvis, Vicki is back in the hot seat and aims to raise at least £500 for the cause, this will be Vicki’s third Pedal 4 Pounds event. The course will be as challenging as ever and see hundreds of local firms and friends of the club take part.

Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented: “The Club would like to thank the Pink Link for its continued support of the ‘Pedal for Pounds’ bike ride. Like Huddersfield Town, the Pink Link has a strong sense of loyalty to its local community as well as charitable causes, therefore it is only natural that we should continue to team up to promote and provide funding towards one of the biggest annual charitable fundraisers in the region.

Richard Allen, Managing Director of The Pink Link, said the firm was “absolutely delighted” to be the main sponsor for The Pink Link Pedal 4 Pounds 5.

Commenting on the bike ride, Richard said: “The challenge is all about courage, determination, honesty and stamina which are qualities that our company brand support and stand for. We wish all the participants every success in finishing the course and, more importantly, in raising as much money as possible for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign.”

Since 2001, The Pink Link Ltd has raised over £183,000 for causes such as the “Keep It Up” campaign, Kirkwood Hospice, Yorkshire Cancer Research, Laura Crane Trust and the Forget Me Not Trust.
