The Pink Link Prepares To Race For Life!
>
On Sunday 8th July The Pink Link team, including family and friends, will be donning pink outfits and trainers to hit the roads of Huddersfield and raise some money for Cancer Research UK as part of Race for Life.
Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run 5k to help beat cancer.
We started supporting the charity in 2005 as we wanted to do something to help all the women out there affected by cancer. We have completed 5 Race for Life’s in previous years, raising over £5,822! We hope to add a further £1,000 to that total with the money raised from this event!
Our fundraising for the charity has also gained the attention of regional newspaper, The Huddersfield Examiner who last week visited The Pink Link depot to interview and then photograph the team for an upcoming feature on our continued fundraising for Cancer Research.
Dyfed Foulkes, a marketing volunteer with Cancer Research UK said: “The support of the ladies from The Pink Link, and all the other groups and individuals, who have entered, is absolutely fantastic. Their support is essential in funding our research and the fight against cancer.”
Vicki Davenport, Sales and Commercial Director for Pink Link Ltd, said: “Everyone’s lives are touched by cancer. This is our 6th time entering Race for Life, and is a fabulous way to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research, which is essential for them to carry out their research and help save lives. We would really appreciate your support so please dig deep and donate…every penny counts!”
